The papers submission for the FIA2020 will be carried out in two steps. In the first stage, the authors must submit abstracts for evaluation by the Scientific Committee of the event. In the second stage, the authors who had their abstracts accepted should submit the full paper for publication in proceedings of FIA 2020.
Abstracts must be submitted by 30/11/2020, through the restricted area of the event's website. For this, the interested author should register on the site by clicking here.
During the abstract submission process, the authors must inform the title of the paper, the abstract with up to 300 words, the authors and their affiliations, indicate the technical session where the paper best fits and the desired modality (talk or poster). The scientific committee will analyze and define whether the paper will be accepted or not and define the mode of presentation. Some works may be changed to poster presentation depending on the number of submissions.
Abstracts and papers may be submitted in English, Portuguese or Spanish. English is preferred.
Changes to submitted abstracts may be made by the submission deadline, 30/11/2020.
THEMATIC AREAS AND TECHNICAL SESSIONS:
During the abstract submission process, the authors should indicate the technical session where the paper best fits according to the list below.
After submission, the scientific committee may choose to change the technical session of the paper if it considers that it fits better with another session.
The full paper must be submitted by February 28, 2021 in PDF format. Information about the work format and templates will be provided shortly. At least one of the paper’s authors must have paid the registration fee for the event to be included in the technical program and later in the proceedings of the event.
Notice: FIA 2020 follows a one-paper, one-registration policy. This means that an author can submit multiple papers, but at least one payed registration fee must be linked to each paper. Authors of more than one paper must ensure that at least one of his co-authors of each of his additional papers also register to the congress, or else must pay the Additional Paper Fee of R$ 150,00 (for each additional paper), in order to have the paper included in the congress program. Payment must be made through your restricted area.
The oral presentations will last 15 minutes, with 3 minutes of questions and 2 minutes for a presenter exchange. This time will be strictly controlled to allow the proper functioning of parallel sessions.
Projection equipment will be available in each room, including a Windows and PowerPoint-equipped computer and a PDF reader. Presenters may use their own computer, but testing is recommended prior to the start of the session.
It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that presentations made on other operating systems do not lose their original formatting when placed on Windows, particularly for animations and videos.
The official languages of the congress are Portuguese, English and Spanish, with the suggestion that the presentations be made in English. It is also recommended that presentations in Portuguese or Spanish use slides in English.
Presentations can be delivered to the Media Desk the day before the presentation or directly to the technical session room at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.
